IT news:

According to foreign media reports, the semiconductor device start-up companies DisplayLink has said that in next month’s International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) it will feature its own chip, a USB 3.0 device can transfer a maximum speed of 4.8Gb per second video . The chip is expected to be available in the second half of next year, before Christmas next year the company is expected to be used in consumer products.

DisplayLink is responsible for marketing and business development executive, corporate vice president Dennis Crespo (Dennis Crespo) said the company will be held next month in Las Vegas 2010 CES– the product demonstration.

Crespo said that the video transmission equipment maximum is 10 times faster than current PC video peripherals, including those which are still popular VGA and DVI video adapter, and as well as the DisplayLink and the use of the latest HDMI format equipment.

DisplayLink is now selling USB 2.0 version of the chip, the chip is being used in notebook docking station (laptop docking station), portable video adapter and monitor.

DisplayLink’s clients include Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, and other more than 30 hardware manufacturers. Crespo said that the major vendors, only Apple is not its customers, indicating the market has accepted the DisplayLink technology.

Crespo admitted at the same time LCD monitor manufacturers disappointing sales performance was mainly due to pressure of economic recession which led to a leading display manufacturers to cut costs.

Analysts believe that USB 3.0 standard LCD makers will rise to concern in 2013 to support USB-LCD computer monitors and it will reach 70 million units quickly. Related: HP Pavilion DV7 battery necklace Laptop battery
